32nd Annual UCR Pow-Wow

The Native American Student Program is hosting its 32nd annual UCR Pow-Wow, an inter-tribal social gathering celebrating Native American culture and traditions through singing, drumming, and dancing. Traditional Native American drum groups, bird singers, dancers, and other artists will be present. Vendors will be selling food, handmade Native American jewelry, art and crafts, and various other merchandise. Admission is free and open to the public. The celebration continues the next day, Saturday May 25th, from 11am to 10pm. READ MORE

GenerAsian Women's Conference

GenerAsian Women's Conference will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 from 8AM-4PM Watkins 1000. (Presented by Asian Pacific Student Programs at University of California, Riverside) The GenerAsian Women’s Conference is a FREE one day event aimed towards women of Asian Pacific Islander backgrounds. It provides a safe environment where participants can engage in gendered specific issues that are prevalent in the API women’s community. Through lectures and workshops, we hope to create dialogue that educates and challenges the participants’ thoughts and perceptions of API identities, misrepresentations, and stereotypes. The ultimate goal is to reach a common ground of ideas and viewpoints and establish solidarity among both the API women present and the community...

Music as Medicine: Concert Series
