Ask Annie: He Likes Me but I Don’t Like Him!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Riverside chapter.

I go to a sports club out of school and this guy lets say his name is “Bob” is always annoying me. I don’t think he likes me but my friends say that he does. And I don’t know what is going on right now, what do you think is happening?!?

Dear Confused,

Well, first things first. You don’t like “Bob” at all, and only see him as a friend, which shouldn’t cause you
to feel any stress about what’s going on. If “Bob” does have feelings for you, he may be telling other people at your sports club to get your attention. No worries! If anything, you should feel flattered that he has a crush on you! Anyways, if you do somehow feel like “Bob” is harassing or annoying you to an extreme extent, you should definitely let one of the adults in your sports club know. They will have the best way to handle the situation than your friends will. But if everything is cool between you and “Bob”, maybe you should let him know you are only interested in him as a friend, and offer to hang out or play some sports with a group of friends one day to make it more comfortable between you two. Best of luck, and hope your confusion is all cleared up!

Love, Annie
