Simple, yet Unique!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Irvine chapter.

Braids, braids and braids! After doing some hairstyle hunting, here are some simple and stylish hair finds that I found to put on my to-do-list!

The first one I found was Lauren Conrad’s secret braid during her appearance on the Chelsea Lately show. The braid is actually quite simple! As known, braids consist of three strands. For this braid, all you have to do is braid one of those three! Braid one of the three strands ahead of time and make it loose! The looseness creates extra volume in the braid and makes the regular braid, as whole, look more interesting!

The second braid I found is also a twist on the regular braid. The braid is, again, simple, but unique and tasteful! There will be three strands, as normal, but instead of having all three of them equaled size, one of them is smaller than the other two. So, there are three strands, two of the same size and one smaller than the other! Simple and easy, but you’ll definitely find yourself standing out from the crowd! This is especially great for music festivals such as Coachella!

The last hairstyle I found consists of a French braid and messy bun. Start with the upper right side of your head and French braid downwards left to the place where you want your bun. However, only French braid the right side of the braid so that the left side look unattached to your hair. The right side should look attached like the photo below. When you’ve braided to where you want the bun to be, tie your hair loosely into a ponytail. Check to see if you like your braid and when content, proceed on creating a messy bun with your ponytail! And tah-dah! Two simple hairstyles put into one to make a unique hairdo!

And there you have it! Happy hairstyling and happy spring, anteaters!
