“Lazy Sunday mornings” – there is something wonderful about this phrase that sounds like the perfect time to make cinnamon French toast that is crisp on the outside edges and soft and chewy on the inside. Now, to accommodate this recipe for the beginner college cook, we have broken down the ingredient list into five simple items:

2 slices of cinnamon swirl bread

1 egg

¼ cup milk

Butter

½ banana (optional)

First, place your cooking pot on the stove over medium heat, and add in just enough butter to coat the surface. While the butter is heating up, beat an egg with milk in a wide dish. Take a slice of cinnamon bread and lightly soak it into the egg mixture for 20 seconds on each side. Transfer the bread into the heated pot and let it cook until both sides turn golden brown. Then, repeat these steps for your second slice of bread. If you want to dress up your French toast, slice up half a banana to place on the side or spread on your favorite choice of jam. The options are limitless!

In 15 minutes, your cinnamon French toast is hot and ready to eat. Enjoy your relaxing morning!
