Here are ten things to do when you hit that boredom blues:

  1. Clean! clean! Clean! It’s not a secret that things can get messy really easily, so take advantage of a clear schedule and tidy up!

  2. Get some exercise. There’s no excuse not to when you’re bored, so put on a playlist and get jogging! If running isn’t your style there are plenty of workout tutorials that allow you to workout at the comfort of your own home.

  3. Do that chore you’ve been putting off for the last few weeks (I see you messy junk-drawer!)

  4. Plant flowers or herbs in your yard or window box. Herbs will step up your cooking game and honestly, fresh ingredients is a whole nother level of adulting.

  5. Paint, draw, or make a creative project. You might find that you enjoy it. But hey, if it turns into one of the “Pinterest fails”, at least you had a good time, right?

  6. Have a tea party. Whether it’s with friends, your mom, or just by yourself, you can have a fun time setting up the table all pretty for your very own high tea- and watching an episode of Downton Abbey doesn’t hurt!

  7. Go for a long walk and take pictures of things you find beautiful or different. This will challenge you to see the world differently and start seeing the beauty in everything.

  8. Take a page out of my grandma’s book and learn to crochet! It happens to be creatively engaging and great for fidgety fingers.

  9. Read a book. In the age of the smartphone and Netflix, it is easy to get caught up in technology that many of us don’t think about the joys of reading a good book.

  10. Cook the recipe in that food video that shows up on your Facebook TL everyday that makes your mouth water.

Yay! Now get out at be productive!

Hi! My name is Nat and I am a third year student at UC Irvine. I'm proud to call sunny Los Angeles my hometown.  I love being a tourist in my own city; going to museums, trying new places to eat, and exploring locations for cute photo-ops!
