More Than Just A Monologue

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

Berkeley is known for the Vagina Monologues that take place every February around Valentine’s Day. This seasonal favorite comedy show inspired the Mental Health Monologues that took place this Friday on November 14.

The show was put on by You Mean More, UC Berkeley’s first suicide awareness club. The show brought the audience into deep thought and laughter. I quite enjoy the creation of this new monologues for the fall semester and I thinks it’s here to stay.

The show helps one realize that they are not alone and that others share the same fears you do. Additionally, you can enjoy the show while knowing that you’re ticket purchase helped students struggling with depression. The club donated all their proceeds to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Overall a great show that I would recommended for students!
