In honor of New York Fashion Week, our campus celebrity is no other than fashion designer: Erin Fetherston.
An all American fashion designer, Fetherston was born and raised in the Bay Area. In 2002 she graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts and with the ambition of becoming the next big fashion designer.
After graduating, Fetherston headed to Parson’s School of Design in Paris, France to study fashion design. In January of 2005, Fetherston presented her first Haute Couture collection which embodied her femininity and romantic style.
After an amazing and successful first collection, Fetherston moved her label to New York City. In 2007, Fetherston debuted a limited time discount line at the nationwide retailer Target and received the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award. It wasn’t until 2009 that was Fetherston was inducted into the CFDA as a fashion designer/member.
Fetherston’s biggest accomplishment was creating her contemporary collection/label known as ERIN. Her clothing can be purchased at top retail shops worldwide such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Barneys as well as special boutiques. Her collection is also favorites to many celebrities.
Currently, Fetherston resides in the chic and trendy TriBeCa neighborhood in New York City with her musician husband Gabriel Saporta and there two dogs Koala and Tulipan.
