This week are campus celebrity is a little different. We have chosen 5 professors that we think are some of the best professors here at Berkeley. We looked through many professor reviews online to determine who our fellow classmates enjoy being taught by. Check them out!!
1. Robert Reich
Department: Public Policy
Review: “Reich is extremely engaging – lectures are always funny and insightful.” “Best professor at Cal, hands down! He is extremely clear during lecture and the material is incredibly interesting. His lectures and books really make you understand US economic and social problems in a new light. Awesome prof! Cal is lucky to have him!”
2. Josh Jackson
Department: Media Studies
Review: “Dr. Jackson is the bomb dot com. I’ve taken two classes with him, MS 10 and MS 101, and they’ve been two of the best classes I’ve ever had at Cal. His classes are definitely not “an easy A.” The course material seems “easy” but that’s only because he does a great job of unpacking the, sometimes dense, readings during lecture.”
3. Steven Goldsmith
Department: English
Review: “Goldsmith is amazing – one of the best professors at Cal in my opinion and I’m not even an English major. This class was hard b/c there was a lot of material to get through but he really just blows your mind – he is FILLED TOO THE BRIM with knowledge!”
4. Deolinda Adão
Department: Portuguese
Review: “Dr. Adao is astounding. I loved her class and I learned so much. Her lectures are clear and intense and she will find a way to explain any misunderstanding. I took her class because it was required, but now I am taking more Portuguese because of her influence. If I were a professor I hope I would be like her.”
5. Erica Bree Rosenblum
Department: Environ. Sci. Policy & Mgmt
Review: “Bree is an amazing professor and I highly recommend to take her class. I had some moments where I was not sure about things but going to office hours really helped me and I did well in the class. The material is interesting and Bree is just amazing! Highly recommended!”
