In anticipation for the Big Game this past Saturday, November 23rd, against Stanford University—more common known around here as simply “Stanfurd”—Cal was lit up in blue and gold.

Wheeler Hall, which has been recent home to the Occupy Wheeler movement on campus demanding the removal of UC tuition hikes proposed and approved of by the UC Board of Regents.
Despite less than pretty weather threatening to put a damper on the Pre-game Bonfire Rally and
Big Game, Golden Bear spirit remained high
Luckily, the rain held out for both the bonfire… At the Greek Theater. Burn, Stanfurd tree, burn.
…..and the Big Game.
While Stanfurd might not know its place in terms playing football against us (we should’ve kicked their piney butts but the final score was 38–7, Stanfurd winning for the 5th-straight year), Mother Nature sure did. Bay Area weather don’t mess with Big Game tradition.
Ah, well. Here’s to next year. May the weather and Golden Bear spirit be ever in our favor.
