5 Must-See Films at the 57th San Francisco International Film Festival

The San Francisco International Film Festival (SFIFF) kicked off yesterday and will be running all the way to May 8th. We have been reviewing the list of films that will be presented and we have to say there are some pretty awesome movies. We have heard that along with the presentation of the films, many celebrities and epic filmmakers will be attending the festival.  Be prepared to be starstruck if you are attending. Over 200 films will be screened in the following weeks and we have browsed the list and pulled 5 films that we think will blow your mind. Check them out!!!

1. The Double

Starring Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska, The Double directed by Richard Ayoade is must-see for dystopian thrill seekers. 

When: April 26 at 1pm and April 29 at 9:15pm

2. Frank

Starring Michael Fassbender and Maggie Gyllenhall, this comedy is everything we ever wanted. Fassbender wearing a big mask and singing in a band.  

When: April 26 at 9:15pm and April 28 at 4:00pm

3. Yves Saint Laurent

If you love fashion films then this is a must see, the film follows the life of Yves Saint Laurent and his take over at Dior fashion house. 

When: May 6 at 9:15pm and May 8 at 2:00pm

4. Impossible Light

This is a great documentary/film about the behind-the-scene process of the making of those beautiful Bay Lights on the Bay Bridge.

5. Palo Alto

Starring James Franco and Emma Roberts, filmmaker Gia Coppola makes her debut with this film which is based on short stories written by Franco himself. It’s a coming of age story filmed right here in Palo Alto, Ca.
