If you’re a film nerd like me, you’ve been looking forward to The Oscars all year. This past Sunday all of the greatest actors gathered to celebrate films and the performances given in them this past year. Here are some of my favorite moments from the awards:
When Jimmy Kimmel made a joke about Timothee Chalamet watching Paw Patrol.
When Lakeith Stanfield ran onstage screaming “Get out!”
When Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph presented together and we all realized that we want them to host next year.
When Jimmy Kimmel took some of the celebrities to the movie theater across the street.
When Jordan Peele won for best original screenplay.
When “This Is Me” was performed and brought me to tears.
When Emma Stone shaded the best director category.
When Frances McDormand asked for all women nominated in any category to stand up.
When Guillermo del Toro double checked the envelope to make sure The Shape of Water won.
