With all the stress of studying for midterms we are all in need of a break! This fall grab your roomies and plan a night of well-needed fun.

Here are a few ideas of how to get your mind off of those exams, even if it’s just for the night.

1. Decorate, Decorate, Decorate!

You don’t have to spend a lot (let’s face it… we’re working on a college budget here), but a quick trip to your local dollar store should suffice. Get crafty! Grab some garland and construction paper and decorate your dorm door. You guys will have the cutest door in your building and everyone will be in the fall mood.

2. Carve a Pumpkin.

Get your roomies together and carve a pumpkin for your room. It can get a little messy so make sure you take precautions. Find a stencil online or just freestyle! Either way just be creative.

3. Have a Movie Night.

Pop some popcorn and turn on your favorite fall movie. Go for a horror flick (there can’t be anything scarier than an 11:59 p.m. deadline for an assignment you started at 10 p.m.) or a Halloween classic!

4. Treat Yourselves!

No, literally. Find some new recipes and try them out! There a tons of recipes on Pinterest to satisfy your fall sweet tooth. There are even dorm-friendly treats that only require a microwave. Check out this pumpkin spice mug cake! ( http://kirbiecravings.com/2014/10/pumpkin-pie-mug-cake.html )

5. Prep for Halloween!

It’s never too early to get your halloween costumes together. Plan out your costumes and make sure you and your roomies are the best ones on the scene. Halloween in college is time where you can let out your inner party girl or just keep it traditional! Just have fun and be safe!
