10 Halloween Costumes for Your Squad

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UAB chapter.

As Halloween approaches, it’s time for you and your squad to prepare to roll up to parties – or even trick-or-treat – looking as good as possible. If you’re like me, and love group costumes, then here are a few ideas to achieve squad goals this Halloween.

Hocus Pocus:

I think its safe to say that Hocus Pocus is a Halloween movie classic, so why not represent that through your costume? Your friends can choose to be just the Sanderson Sisters, or you can grab more people and have the entire main cast – Binx included.

Inside Out:

Sure, Halloween is all about fun, but why not incorporate all emotions in your costume? Disney’s Inside Out allows you to do that! Just grab your four BFFs, and be all of the feelings: Joy, Anger, Jealousy, Sadness, and Fear.

Princess Diaries:

With this costume, you can be Mia before her transformation into a princess, and Mia after her makeover. You don’t have to stop there- you can bring in other characters, such as the Queen of Genovia herself, Hector, Lilly, etc. This costume is personal favorite of mine since my squad rocked it last year.

Fruit Salad:

If you don’t feel like dressing up as a TV show or movie, all of your friends could pick your favorite fruits and be a fruit salad! The possibilities are endless with this fun and affordable idea.

Clue:

This costume would definitely be an entertaining one because you could not only dress up as the characters, but incorporate the game into your Halloween night! My bet is that it was Mrs. Peacock, in the library, with the candlestick. What do you think?

Scooby Doo:

Get on board the Mystery Machine as you, three friends, and your dog, take on all the supernatural cases this Halloween. With this fun and easy look, your squad will be prepared for whoever comes your way.

The Four Elements:

Fire, Ice, Earth, and Water… what wouldn’t your squad be able to take on?

Orange is the New Black:

Grab some tan and orange scrubs with your friends, and you are set to look like you’re living your best life in Litchfield with Piper and Suzanne.

Minions:

Would this be a Halloween costume article without throwing in some minions? Just throw on a yellow shirt, some overalls, and you’ll be ready to take on the night.

Friends:

Last but not least, who wouldn’t want to recreate the Central Perk crew this Halloween? Get your group together and figure out who is the most Rachel, Ross, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, and Joey!
