Are you actively involved with campus clubs and organizations?
I have been involved in UCLit (UC student council) and UCRC (UC Residence council). In addition, I help out with UTAA (U of T Autism Association) and have been apart of the U of T PowderPuff Football team, as well as a couple of other intramural teams. I also created a club called HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America), if anyone is interested in joining! Basically, HOSA offers opportunities for knowledge and leadership development of all health science education students, but there’s more information on the ULife website for people who are interested in joining the club.

What inspires you to take on so many leadership roles despite your busy student schedule, and how do you stay motivated to accomplish your daily tasks?
I see these leadership roles as “life,” when you actually enjoy what you do then it doesn’t seem like work. To plan for my busy schedules I like to make colourful timetables and to do lists, as I like to stay organized.

What is one scary/funny moment you experienced since you’ve been at U of T?
In my PSY100 class, there was a bonus assignment of creating artwork related to one of the concepts in class and I had to take a picture with it. So, my friend and I created a rather ugly piece of work (we’re not artistic people), and took a really silly selfie with it. Who knew the prof would decide to show the pictures in con hall the next semester? For a good month, all my high school and university friends who took the class asked me about the photo and they would laugh about it.

What are your goals post-university?
My ultimate goal is to obtain a MD and carry out clinical research while traveling the world.
