Everywhere is Anywhere and Anything is Everything

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Toronto chapter.

A few weeks ago, I headed over to the Royal Ontario Museum to check out Douglas Coupland’s latest exhibition, everywhere is anywhere and anything is everything. The exhibition featured a number of interesting pieces that brought up the current state of modernity and the heavy impact that the technological revolution has had on our lifestyles. My personal favourite part of the exhibit was a giant wall piece featuring smaller boards of popular tweets that emphasized the pains and problems of today’s tech-savvy human race.

A piece on the often turbulent emotional state of today’s youth, based on high school yearbook photos.

If you get a chance to check out Coupland’s work, I highly suggest you do — UofT students get free general admission to the ROM on Tuesdays with a valid TCard!

My name is Mallika Makkar and I'm stoked to be part of the Class of 2018 at the University of Toronto, as well as photographer for HerCampus! Photography is one of my greatest passions. The majority of my work encompasses architectural, landscape, wildlife, portrait, and event photography; I believe that every photo should tell a story. My other interests include travelling, acting, reading, writing, dancing, and learning. I love all kinds of music (I probably know too much for my own good), and have too many favourite movies and TV shows to count.
