Each week, the Hot Ticket blog will share a unique item that caught the eye of Her Campus UPenn.
Here’s something I learned this week about us Penn women, especially during exams: we like to take it easy during the day on weekends, and that’s probably because we’re working, sleeping, doing laundry, and saving the effort for nighttime. That’s fine – we deserve a break!
This week’s Hot Ticket, however, comes to us from a girl who looks effortlessly fashionable…even when she’s just on her way to the gym.
I ran into College of Arts and Sciences senior and Editorial Director for thewalkmagazine.com Jordyn Shaffer in the bookstore’s café and just had to ask about her boots. They’re the ideal all-the-time boots, verified by Jordyn who claimed she “literally wears them every day!” She received the Juicy Couture ‘Dale’ boots (who would’ve thought? “Just goes to show you can’t always judge a brand by its old reputation!” Jordyn added) from her clearly fabulous grandmother, and estimates that they were around $200. We agreed, though, that a pair of shoes as versatile as this one was definitely worth it.
When asked what she loves most about her boots, Jordyn gushed “I always like a little bit a height, and these are the perfect day boot – the wedge makes them so comfortable!” She doesn’t hesitate to share that in addition to wearing them to her classes for her Communications major, she also rocks them at her internship and for nights out. Even better, when I spotted her in line for coffee, she was just on her way to the gym. “It’s funny,” she laughed, “I’m actually wearing a workout shirt and gym socks underneath this!” I couldn’t tell, and I bet you all can't either.
Thank you, Jordyn, for inspiring us to keep it cute, even when we’re just hanging around. For the rest of us, I’ve done what I do best (by which I mean spent an hour online shopping) and found a few alternative options that our shoe-drobes need to own.
