Why You Should Sleep In Your Birthday Suit

Juggling school, work and a social life can be tiring. Which is why it is important that every girl gets her beauty sleep. Enjoying a night’s long slumber seems to be the hardest thing to do these days. You might have tried the remedies that mama taught you, but sometimes not even the craziest remedies work! Here’s something new to try, sleeping naked. And yes, that includes ditching the panties. According to a recent study, less than 10% of North-Americans sleep nude. The study shows that sleeping naked is actually good for your health and that we should all try it out.

1. You’ll Sleep Better

Everyone loves to snuggle up inside their favourite duvet or comforter. Although this is important when trying to get a good nights rest, it is important that your body is nice and cool. Your body’s temperature lowers on its own while you are asleep. If you’re wearing heavy clothing while wrapped up in a blanket, you’ll disrupt your body from doing what it’s supposed to. Sleeping naked will help your body stay cool, therefore giving you the rest you deserve.

2. You’ll Lose Belly Fat

Sleeping naked will allow you to get the rest you need. Which means you won’t be tossing and turning throughout the night. Since you you’ll be sleeping like a baby, your body will be lowering the level of stress in your system provoked by a hormone called cortisol. Keeping this hormone level will not just lower your stress, but decrease your hunger too. If you wake up feeling disrupted you’ll want to eat comfort food, and lots of it.

3. Your Lady-Parts Will Have Time to Breathe

It is completely normal to have bacteria and yeast down there, but too much overgrowth is not healthy. An over-heated environment can cause bacteria and yeast to build up. This could lead to various infections including bacterial vaginosis and candida (yeast infection). Sleeping naked will prevent you from getting an infection.

4. You’ll Keep Your ‘Youthful’ Look

Your body’s temperature can also affect the way your body releases some anti-aging hormones.   If your body is too warm, the levels of hormones released can be disrupted. When your body is cool, more anti-aging hormones will be released. These hormones will help regenerate your skin cells and keep your hair looking fabulous.

5. You’ll Have More Confidence

While sleeping naked, you’ll pay attention to other sensations. Such as the feeling of your sheets on your skin and the coolness of the air, which can be very relaxing and sexy.  Feeling sexy will boost your confidence for sure!

6. More ‘Sexy’ Time

Not only will you sleep better, gain confidence, lose weight and stay younger looking, but could also increase your chances of getting busy with your partner. The skin-to-skin sensation will increase your cuddle hormone levels, oxytocin. Sexier relationships means a happier relationship, everybody wins!
