Cute animals can make any day better – it’s a fact. Who hasn’t scrolled past a video of puppies and felt a little bit of instant joy? One of the best platforms for finding cute animals is Instagram, where we seem to be able to find everything we could possibly want. Can’t decide which type of animal account to follow? The Dodo is great for seeing all types of animals. They have touching videos, like dogs being reunited with owners as well as cute pictures of animals of all kinds. If you have a cute pet, you can even use #TheDodo to get them featured! The Dogist
Have you ever heard of the account Humans of New York? This is like that – but for dogs. They post cute pictures of dogs of all colors, sizes and ages, along with a quote from the owner about the dog. While most of the pictures are taken in New York City, some pop up from other locations as well. I love this account because I get to see so many dogs that I don’t usually see (and they are abundant in cuteness)! Follow them @thedogist for a photojournal type of account.
Goats of Anarchy (or any type of sanctuary/rescue account)
My favorite account to follow on Instagram had to get a shout out. Goats of Anarchy is an account for a rescue in New Jersey that caters to special needs goats (and features other animals as well). I love this account because goats are some of the funniest animals; this account features stories about the goats, about rescuing and cute photos that will make you want a goat or two! If goats aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other rescue accounts for dogs, farm animals, tigers etc out there! Follow them @goatsofanarchy to see goats jumping around and being cute.
Cats of Instagram
Are you a cat person? If so, this account is definitely for you. Cats of Instagram hosts a collection of videos and photos just of cats, submitted by people like you! Watch cats get up to mischief, sleep, or be generally cute as a happy note to your day. Follow them @cats_of_instagram to have cats fill your feed!
