How did you guys meet?
Dana: At Camp Fortune, through mutual friends (gotta love frosh week).
Who initiated the first kiss?
Dana: Me!
Who was first to say I love you?
Declan: It was me (blushes)
Dana: Here’s the story- it was Halloween, and he was feeling a little tipsy, and he comes to me and mouths “I love you”. And I go to him and say “Sorry, what was that?” And he answered “Oh nothing, I didn’t say I love you, I said elephant shoe” (giggles).
What was your most romantic date?
Dana: On Valentine’s Day last year, we went to Luxe Steakhouse in the market for a romantic dinner, and then we marathon-ed House of Cards.
Declan: I’m very proud of my gift, I got her a 4 foot tall sock monkey.
Dana: (laughs) Yes, I love it very much.
What’s your pet peeve about each other?
Dana: He’s always late!Declan: And she makes a deal about everything, but I find it very cute.
On the other hand, what’s your favourite thing about each other?
Declan: She keeps checking up with me and I can talk about everything with her, except basketball!
Dana: He’s always calm and composed. I’ll be freaking out and he’s keeping his cool.
How long did it take for you to have sex?
Both: The second date.
What are your plans for this year’s Valentine’s Day?
Dana: Well I’ll be home so we’re going to celebrate on the 12th.
Declan: I want to do a lot of activities, like Skyzone, Go karting, something physical and fun.
If the other person was an animal, what animal would they be?
Dana: Declan would be a lamb, for sure.
Declan: No I’m not!
Dana: Here are the reasons: he has lamb hair, he has baby lamb eyes, and he’s very cuddly.
Declan: I think she’s a kitten or Capuchin monkey cause she’s playful, cute and mischievous.
What advice do you have for new couples?
Declan: Try to keep it interesting, and once a month do something new and exciting. Never be bored.
Dana: Also, you have to keep in mind that you may not see each other super often, but when you do see each other, leave out school and just focus on you two.
Tell me a funny story about you two!
Declan: The first time I met her father, he was trying really hard to intimidate me. Her father asked me to come outside, but Dana kept convincing me not to go out with him, and I thought she was being really silly. I wasn’t out to fight some bully, it was just her dad. Her mom also suggested I didn’t go outside. But I went anyway and just had a chat with her dad with a beer, with Dana and her mom peaking out the window making sure her dad wasn’t killing me.
If your partner could have a Hall Pass, who would they use it on?
Dana: Declan wouldn’t pick anyone cause I’m perfect (kisses).
Declan: She would probably go for some angsty music man like the lead singer of Tokyo Police Club or something.
Dana: Wow, you’re right!
Declan: To be honest I’d hall pass him too. But for real, I would hall pass for Zooey Deschanel.
Do you guys have any funny nicknames for each other?
Dana: Declamb
Declan: Oh my, I have so many. Bae, Dandan, Dhani, the list goes on.
Do you have any favourite movies that you watch together?
Both: Love Actually
Who’s the better cook?
Dana: Me for sure!
Declan: To be honest on the first date, I pretended I didn’t know how to make pasta, so she made it for me.
What was your first impression of each other?
Declan: She was wearing a leather jacket, so I thought she was a bad ass.
Dana: I thought he was tall dark and handsome with his leather jacket. But then I talked to him and I realized he was a little lamb.
Where is your dream vacation?
Both: All over South America. Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina etc.
Does your partner have any secret talents?
Dana: Declan is very musical.
Declan: She’s a good public speaker.
