You’ll Never Guess What We Found In The Arb…

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mich chapter.

Ann Arbor is a city filled with eccentric, out of the ordinary people.  That’s why it is such a great place to live.  No matter where you go, or what you do, you will inevitably find yourself discovering something you have never seen, experienced, or heard before.  On a walk through the arb, I stumbled upon this:

After spotting this little hut from the path I was walking on, I climbed up the slop and discovered several more huts just like it.  Confused and a little creeped out, I found a sign reading: Fairy Woods & Troll Hollow.  Another sign just a few feet away explained that what I had found was a “fairy and troll forest” and human visitors were encouraged to make a hut of their own and leave a note for the fairies and trolls.  The huts must be constructed of all natural material found in the arb and often notes that are left receive a response from the grateful inhabitants.  You never know what you’ll find in Ann Arbor.
