Michael Abiragi, Class of 2016

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mich chapter.

Upon arriving to our meeting, LSA junior Michael Abiragi sauntered over to the table and asked if I wanted a coffee. I politely declined but smiled at the thoughtful gesture. After taking his seat across from me, he proceeded to ask about my day and my semester so far. While I am sure his small talk was motivated by thoughtfulness and genuine interest, as modest natured as he is, I sensed he was not eager to jump into answering “all about me” kinds of questions. Despite his humility, he answered willingly and with a smile, and it is my pleasure to introduce him as this week’s, campus cutie.

Her Campus: So, what has been your greatest UM memory/experience so far?

HC: Outside of your participation in Greek Life and club baseball, what else do you like to do outside of class?

MA: I like to play [IM] sports, golf, watch movies, read and hang out with friends.

HC: Alright-movies and books; the goods. Okay, so you mentioned that your majors are Biomolecular Science and Spanish. What do you want to be when you grow up?

MA: I want to be a doctor and I want to coach sports to some capacity.

HC: That’s great that you want to stay involved with sports in some way or another. It shows that you really value it. You’re a junior, so what are you most looking forward to this year?

MA: Probably turning 21! I’m really excited to try different places around Ann Arbor.

HC: Yes, and there are so many great places to see and to try! Just a few more questions left. What are your top three songs right now?

HC: That’s a great top three. Alright, next question. In honor of our favorite season here in Michigan, what’s your favorite thing about winter?

MA: Snowboarding!

HC: Truly a lover of all things sports! Okay, last one, who do you look up to?

MA: My mom and my grandma.

A big thanks to Michael for sitting down with Her Campus!
