If you were at the tenth annual Soul TV Fashion Show, then you know how fabulous it was. The clothes were gorgeous, the music was bumpin’, the MC was hilarious, (follow her on Instagram) and, of course, the models were flawless. The amazingly talented Soul TV Executive Board worked their butts off to create this fun event for everyone. At the end of the show, the head of the Executive Board, Daisy Kabochi, who is a senior Communication Disorders major here at UMass Amherst, was so proud of her E-Board that she legit teared up. It was so sweet!

Langston and Company performed covers of a number of songs, including “Suit and Tie” by Justin Timberlake, “Lost Without U” by Robin Thicke, “Let Me Love You” by Mario, and “This Is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan. Langston is the lead singer of the band and he actually has the best falsetto singing voice I have ever heard. The ladies in the audience were openly smitten every time he sang.

Do not even get me started writing about the models because I do not think I have the self-control to stop. So I am going to try to break it down for you, Collegiettes. They were all crazy beautiful; I cannot believe that they are not paid models and are just UMass Amherst students like myself. Every model’s walk was confident and some of them even broke it down and started dancing halfway down the runway or at the end of it. And best of all, nobody fell, which is what I imagine myself doing if I ever got up on a runway and walked down it with a bunch of strangers staring at my outfit.

Here are some of the photos I took at the show:

What did I tell you?!

This model’s outfit was on FLEEK and she knew it!

The photographer next to me said that the model pictured above always had the best dresses, and it was SO true. She looked so perfect in this one, though. I think it was the prettiest one she wore.

I went to the ninth annual Soul TV Fashion Show last year, too, but I enjoyed this one even more. Last year’s was awesome, but this year I got to sit in the front row and I felt like the music was even louder and the runway was even longer, which probably is not even true. The moral of the story is that this year’s show was amazing and you know it if you were there, too!

Special thanks to Soul TV for hosting such a powerful and enjoyable event. We can’t wait for next year’s!

Grace is from Lincoln, Massachusetts and beyond excited to be a part of UMass Amherst's chapter of Her Campus. As a senior, she is majoring in psychology with a letter of specialization in social welfare/social work and a letter of specializtion in developmental disabilities and human services. When she is not writing for Her Campus, she is probably joking around with her friends, shamelessly listening to Ariana Grande, or browsing the Benefit and Tarte sections of the Sephora website.
