Student Businesses Turn Tailgating Into a Shopping Spree

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Homecoming is approaching, and that means it’s time to purchase your tailgating gear. We’re all the same: always go to the tailgate, never go to the actual game. In lieu of the rise of students at our amazing university, it’s time to switch things up and get creative with the ways we celebrate at UMass. Some students have already come up with some fun and festive ways to get down for a tailgate. Check them out!

1. Rage Supply

Their motto is simple: ”We were created so that you could rage even harder.” They primarily sell keychains called “rage claws” that turn into bottle-openers, shotgunning tools and more. However, they also sell products like koozies, t-shirts and flags. Just like your average Chubbies gear, Rage Supply gives you the ability to party all night long while still maintaining that GPA.

P.S. Here’s a Her Campus exclusive: Enter code “HERCAMPUS” for 10 percent off your purchase!

2. CutsOnCampus

Originally started by two ladies in a sorority on our very own campus, this awesome small business caters to all of your UMass tailgate needs. Need a shirt cut up for homecoming? Done. Get it right here.

3. DesignsByRei

This small business was originally created by a Texas sorority girl. Not only have her unique styles spread across the United States since then, but they’ve given homecoming just a little extra flare. Have a tube top but don’t know how to style it up? Check this site out and you’re bound to find your next go-to necklace or pair of earrings.

4. College Tailgate Tailor

Not only does this small business cater to its original university, but they cater to UMass as well! Message them on Instagram and make sure to place your order soon, because this team of ladies work super hard to create the best tailgating gear there is.

5. Live Wyld Designs

Nothing is as horrid as winter in New England, but why not get covered up in style? Live Wyld customizes jean jackets to whatever design you’d like. Though some of the jackets cost a pretty penny, they are totally worth it!
