This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Don’t touch that Kit-Kat bar! Drop that Reese’s cup! This year, let your creative side show and impress your pals by trying some cool and creepy Halloween treats. Whether you’re having a costume party or just hanging out with your friends, these simple and delicious snacks are bound to please everyone’s palettes.

Full recipes can be found by clicking on the names of each snack.

Crescent Roll Mummies

This fun take on ‘pigs in a blanket’ is both adorable and delicious. All you need are cocktail weenies or hotdogs, Pillsbury crescent roll dough, and your favorite condiments.

Oreo Spiders

Conquer your arachnophobia with this easy-to-make snack. For a healthier alternative, you can use two crackers and low fat cream cheese instead of an Oreo, and raisins for eyes.

Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins

Nothing brings me back to my childhood quite like rice krispie treats. If you didn’t have time this season to go out and buy a pumpkin to carve, make your own edible jack-o-lantern! Fun to decorate and eat, what more could you want?

Halloween Trail Mix

This snack is perfect if you’re looking to feed a group, and if you’re short on time. There is no baking required, and you likely have some of the ingredients already. Popcorn, pretzels, M&M’s, candy corn, and marshmallows are all tasty additions to toss in the mix.

Potato Ghosts

For those of you who prefer more savory snacks, give this recipe a try. This one requires a little more time and effort, but will definitely be worth it!

Dirt and Worms

A classic dessert that I loved when I was little, and is still a seasonal favorite of mine.

Happy Halloween, Collegiettes!
