The Many Reasons Why UMass Seniors Should Go to Commencement Ball

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

We’ve finally reach the last two (bittersweet) weeks of the semester before graduation. As a senior, you’re probably running around tying up loose ends such as declaring a minor or finishing up a thesis that you have been working on all semester. But don’t forget, prior to finals week there are many events that are taking place for graduating seniors. The first being the 18th Annual Commencement Ball on April 29th from 9:00pm-1:00am at the Mullins Center!

1. The theme for this year’s Commencement Ball is circus themed: “A Night Under The Big Top.”

2. Presented by the Student Alumni Association, this senior gala is a UMass tradition leading up to graduation.

3. This festive evening will include Hors d’oeuvres & desserts.

4. There will be lots of music and dancing!

5. Also how can you forget to include the themed photo areas?!

6. There will also be a cash-bar for those who are 21.

So on May 29th, put on your favorite dress or suit and tie and come join your senior class!

But first: You need to buy your tickets at the Mullins Center box office! Tickets are $28.00 and seniors are allowed to purchase up to two of them.

So what do you say? You definitely do not want to miss out on this fun night!

For more information about the senior Commencement Ball you can contact the UMass Amherst Student Alumni Association at (413)-577-1390 or check out the events calendar.
