Spring is right around the corner (I know you can feel it!) Even though it may seem like you’ve got some time to gather spring essentials there is no better time than the present to start collecting the trends!

Trend 1: The Platform Wedge

Color blocking wedges (and color blocking in general,) are one of this springs hottest trends. The first look is much more bold, and will look amazing with cut off shorts and flowy white shirts.  The second platform is perfect for solid color sundresses, or beachy dresses with cutouts!

Trend 2:Bright Pants

Colored jeans are in right now but by the time the spring rolls around the trend will have revolved into bright bottoms. Think black dress pants but in hot pinks, teals, oranges and yellows. These loose fitting pants can be worn down or rolled into capris for lighter feel. Don’t pair these with floral tops and try and keep in mind color blocking. If that still feels too much for you, white is always an option as well!

Trend 3: Printed Dresses

Printed dresses are going to be your go-to this spring. There are so many different kinds of prints to choose from the typical florals to the daring graphic prints, which are very 70’s. Pair these fun dresses with a solid handbag and simple accessories. You want all eyes on you and your dress, not the bag that’s clashing with your outfit.

Trend 4: Neon Bags

These bright bags can be worn with a variety of outfits. They can be used to pull different shades and patterns together, to enhance the colors of an outfit, to color block, or, to add some color to a monochromatic ensemble.

These looks will be all over Amherst before you know it, so get ahead and buy all your spring essentials now! When the odd warm day rolls around in late March or early April, all eyes will be on you while you rock the campus like it’s a runway.
