The UMaine Women’s Basketball team is on a six-game winning streak and currently holds the top streak in the America East. With a record of 7-3, they are looking to continue their streak this Friday at North Carolina. Junior Center, Anna Heise, gives us some insight on herself and the team.

When did you start your basketball career? When I was 10 years old.
What’s it like playing a Division I sport? It’s great, but sometimes really tiring.
What do you love most about your team and the sport? I have the best teammates anybody could ask for. I love everything about basketball.’
Most memorable experiences: Playing with the German National Team.
Outlook? Winning the America East Championship
Our team’s record is outstanding- I think our team is like a family. We care a lot about each other and you can see that in the way we play. We play for each other. It doesn’t matter who gets the credit and I think that is really important.
