Becky with the good hair? Nah, it’s Alexis. I mean, she won the “Best Hair” senior superlative in high school, so Becky, gtfo. Anyone who knows her, knows she’s got killer hair and can do killer hair because she is licensed to do so. That’s right! She is a self made hair stylist with a costomotology license at just eighteen years old. Get to know her and her love for doing hair.
What made you want to do hair?
I have always loved doing hair ever since I was younger, and I decided to go through the cosmetology school program my junior year of high school, so I did not have to wait until after college to complete 1,500 hours for the state of Illinois.
When did you get your cosmetology license and how was that experience?
I got my cosmetology license after I finished up my 1,500 hours at the Technology Center of DuPage. The experience that came with getting my license was a bit stressful because it required a lot of studying, especially for the written part of the exam.
What are your career goals?
My goal is to still be doing hair in a small one-chair salon and to be a marketer for a cosmetic company that goes to beauty shows. I wanted to incorporate the business aspect I’m learning in college with also still doing hair, so I thought that this idea might be a perfect fit!
What is your go-to hairstyle?
Wanding my hair to give it a beach wave.
What is the worst hair mistake a girl could make?
A girl with super dark hair or red hair deciding to go all blonde. It never turns out the way you want.
Who is “hair goals” in the celeb world?
It would have to be Demi lovato, Mila Kunis and Miley Cyrus with her long hair.
Favorite hairstyle?
Pig tails and then braid the pig tails.

Curly hair for me, always!
