Justin Bieber: “Purpose” Album Review

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Iowa chapter.

The long-awaited Justin Bieber album has finally arrived, and Beliebers aren’t the only ones excited about it. “Purpose” is the album that everyone is talking about, even the boys, belieb it or not! With a two-year wait for new music, Justin Bieber brought his all to this album with a mix of new beats, tons of collaborations and everything in between. “Purpose” is filled with emotion, lessons and stories, and we can’t get enough!

Everyone has their favorites on this new album, but I think we can all agree that songs like “What Do You Mean?” “Sorry” and “Where Are Ü Now” are just a few of the songs that can get a crowd going. Bieber also brings to the table songs like “Life Is Worth Living,” “Children” and “Purpose,” which bring emotion and a new vision to the purpose of this album.

Along with the album release, Bieber also released a series of videos to go with his new songs, which are called Purpose: The Movement. This video series contains 13 videos with dance as the main purpose in each one. And fun fact: Logan Hassel, a Johnston, IA native, was one of the dancers featured in the “Purpose” video!

Purpose is basically the re-birth of Bieber and how he’s changing his life from the chaos that has put him in the negative spotlight these past couple of years. As Bieber says in one of his songs, “I feel like I’ve found my purpose.”
