Future doctor, current violinist and one of my best friends. One of the best amateur photographers I know who has the knack for finding beauty even in the smallest of items. A Midwest girl in with an East Coast style. A sense of humor that can make anyone burst out in fits of giggles with tears streaming down their face. Everyone, I would love for you to meet one of my closest friends, Ellen Willhoit!
What is your dream goal in life?
My dream goal in life is to become a doctor. While in this field, I would love to find a cure for Alzheimers. I would also like to have a family (this includes a goolden doodle) and have a second home in the Hamptons. Music is one of my many passions in life, so I would love to have season tickets to the New York Philharmonic. Since school is so important to me, I want to eventually give back to the academic institutions that will help me reach some these aspirations. A girl can dream, haha!
What inspired you to become a doctor?
Becoming a doctor is important to me beacuase I want to be able to provide the care that people require, regarless of their socioeconomic circumstances. If I can provide that care, then I will have done the job that I set out to accomplish.
Where would you like to live in the future?
I think I would like to live somewher in the Northeast/New England portion of the country, espcially since New York is one of my favorite places to visit. However, I would also like to keep my foot planted in Iowa because of my family’s farm. For me, it is very important that I stay connected to my family here in Iowa.
If you could be any Harry Potter character, what would you be?
Oh, that’s a hard question! I’d like to think that I am as carefree as Luna Lovegood, but in reality I am probably more uptight like Hermione because I do not like breaking the rules. But I also think that I am learning more about my own personality like Neville did throughout the series. So I would have to say that I am a mixture of Luna, Hermione and Neville!
Some of your hobbies include?
My hobbies include noodling around on my violin, reading (preferably not textbooks!), watching movies and exploring new places!
What is one thing that you could not live without?
Hmmm, pillow would be kind of hard to live without I think!
And that’s a wrap! Ellen is one of the most motivated and driven people I know. She is extremely hilarious, specifiically when she is ranting about something. I swear I am always brought to tears by the things she says. She is my photographer partner in crime and someone who shares my love of cacti. As you can see, she is also an avid Harry Potter fan, which, in my opinion, makes her ten times better than regular muggles. She is one of my best friends, and I cannot wait to see where the future takes her!
