8 Thoughts You Have When Registering For Next Semester’s Classes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Iowa chapter.

We all know that feeling of anticipation mixed with dread that goes hand in hand with registering for the next semester’s classes. Why oh why is this process such a wild emotional ride? Everyone is familiar with the eight thoughts below.

1. All of these classes look interesting. Can I just quadruple major? I feel like that should be a thing.

2. Of course I can get up for that 8 a.m. class! Let me add that to my schedule.

3. Of course I can’t get up for that 1 p.m. class! Let me take that off my schedule.

4. I need both of these classes to graduate, but they’re at the same time…

5. It’s completely normal to add a course because ratemyprofessors.com says this teacher sometimes brings food to class, right?!

6. Was I the only one assigned a 6:30 a.m. registration time?!

7. THIS CLASS SOUNDS AMAZING! But wait, it doesn’t get out until 5:20 p.m. on Friday…

8. Waitlists are evil, and they should not exist. If I don’t get in this class, my entire academic career will go up in flames. MY LIFE WILL BE RUINED.

Good luck with registration, collegiettes!
