Why We Love Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara

So fun fact about me: I’m not a big makeup fan. While a lot of girls can sit for more than an hour making sure that their contour is on point, their eyebrows are flawless and their cat-eyes are so sharp they can cut a b*tch,

most days I’m not wearing makeup at all, and my idea of a full face is Chapstick, mascara, a decent-looking cat-eye and combing my eyebrows so they look presentable.

With that being said, one thing that I genuinely care about are my eyelashes. They’re pretty long and full, but I’m obsessed with length, so while mine probably look like this…

I want them to look more like this.

So while hanging with the Her Campus girls, I noticed that our holiday survival kit had the Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes! Mascara in the bundle, and I had jokingly said that I wanted to try it. Well, I ended up trying it when I went to a party about two nights later because I had actually wanted to look good for this event.

I really liked the product when I tried it. The brush was full and thick and my lashes became longer and more voluptuous when I applied it. I also liked that it didn’t make my eyelashes clump. I have a pet peeve with my lashes clumping and sticking together, like to the point that I comb them to try and de-clump them (Is that weird? I genuinely don’t know).

The mascara definitely didn’t do that. It also was a good lash-curler too. By the end of it, my eyelashes were thick, full, long, and curled. It was a great party product. I liked it a lot and it looked really good.

I would definitely recommend this mascara to anyone. If your eyelashes need some length, some fullness, or you don’t feel like buying an eyelash curler yet, go for this gorgeous, purple-bottled mascara from Tarte Cosmetics. I give it the Afia stamp of Approval!
