UD Bucket List Items To Check Off Before The Semester Ends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Delaware chapter.

As many of you know, our Student Alumni Ambassadors have created a bucket list of activities for students to complete during their time on campus. The list is composed of 17 Gold items and 43 Blue items. These numbers commemorate our school’s founding in 1743. Below are a few of the UD Bucket List items that you and your friends should try to check off before leaving campus for summer vacation!

Attend Senior Fling (Gold)

Every spring, SCPAB plans an amazing Senior Fling. This year’s Senior Fling will be held on Friday May 13 from 4 pm – 7 pm on the North Green. The event is open to all students, not just seniors. Be sure to stop by for events including inflatable Twister, leather bracelet making, flash tattoos, and a photo booth. Indie pop band MisterWives will also be performing. This is an event that you definitely don’t want to miss!

Take a picture at a fountain on campus (Gold)

Whether you’re hoping to take an artsy campus beauty shot or looking for the perfect backdrop to a group photo, the fountain on the South Green is the go-to location!

Decorate your graduation cap or wear a stole at graduation (Gold)

Seniors, this one is for you. Grab a bunch of friends and have a cap decorating party! Personalizing your graduation cap will help your family and friends find you in the sea of students in a few weeks. If you need some artistic inspiration, check out the University of Delaware’s #BlueHensForever board on Pinterest.

Rub Hugh Morris’ nose (Blue)

We all need a little bit of luck to get us through our upcoming finals. Take a second to rub Hugh Morris’ nose on your way out of Club Morris for good luck on your exams.

Participate in I Heart UD events (Blue)

Stop by the festivities on Wednesday May 11 from 11 am – 3:15 pm on the Green. There will be tons of goodies including dining hall cookies and Jimmy John’s sandwiches. Students can also check off additional UD Bucket List items while enjoying the event. Stop by and show your school some love!

See a movie at the Trabant Theatre (Blue)

Sometimes we take for granted the amazing opportunity to see new releases at the Trabant Theatre for $3. Each semester, SCPAB provides students with a new film each week. They recently announced on Twitter that the outdoor film on May 6 will be Star Wars The Force Awakens. You can also see Stephan James and Jason Sudeikis in Race on May 13 and 14.
