Quick And Easy Smoothie Bowls For Everyday Healthy Living

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Delaware chapter.

I love making my own food and smoothies at home. I’m pretty busy during the day, so I like to make smoothies because they’re fast and you can take them on the go. I prefer making my own smoothies at home because when you get them while you’re out, you never know if there’s any added sugars or a certain type of milk that you don’t prefer. There’s a few smoothies that I have grown to love to make at home, so I decided to share them.

  1. The classic strawberry-banana smoothie, but with a twist. I love strawberry-banana smoothies, but a great way to add to it is by adding spinach, raspberries and chia seeds. Adding spinach is a good way to get more veggies in your diet.

2. I’m a huge banana in smoothies person, so my second favorite smoothie is a blend of bananas, dates, rice milk, a few drops of vanilla extract and ice cubes. P.S. this smoothie is even better with almond butter and coconut flakes on top.

3. If you like peanut butter than this smoothie is perfect. This one is a blend of banana, blueberries, vanilla protein powder, peanut butter and almond milk. I personally like to add chia seeds and coconut flakes on top.

4. This smoothie is perfect for breakfast because it has coffee in it to wake you right up. I like to blend coffee, banana, vanilla protein powder, almond butter, cinnamon and ice cubes together for a perfect breakfast smoothie.

5. This smoothie is so refreshing, a perfect blend of tropical fruits. I love mangos but it’s so hard to find ones in season during these winter months, so buying frozen mangoes is my go to. I like to blend frozen mangos, strawberries, raspberries, coconut flakes, hemp seeds and coconut milk.

These smoothies are a few of my favorite combinations, and all of them are just as good with added veggies like spinach and kale. It’s super helpful to keep frozen fruit instead of fresh fruit if you’re always busy or think it’ll go bad. I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I do!
