Let’s face it; studying without music can be boring. The first thing I do when I arrive at Homer is pop in my ear buds and press my Spotify icon! My playlist, “Study and study and yeah,” is entitled via the inspiration of Rebecca Black’s enthusiasm for Friday, as I try to harness her energy into my studies.
When I first start my playlist, I hear Somewhere in Neverland by All Time Low; armed with a new label and a new CD, All Time Low provides me with the pop-punk sound I’ve missed after a long day of classes and lab. Grammy-winning Mumford & Sons calms my pre-exam nerves, while Lana Del Rey and Dave Matthews round out the mix, providing me with soulful lyrics and eclectic sounds. My playlist ends with an old middle school favorite, The Starting Line (live!), and I press repeat! Voila!
