Earlier this week, the Victoria’s Secret Angels made their way to London where “the sexiest night on television” was filmed. This was the first time the fashion show was filmed in London (past years have included various spots in New York and Los Angeles). In a celebration of femininity and sophistication, all your favorite Angels were back, including South African- born Candice Swanepoel, and Brazilian beauty Adriana Lima. Newer girls to the runway included fresh faces Romee Strijd, Taylor Hill, and Irina Sharipova. Every year the fashion show gets bigger and more extravagant, and this year was no exception. From hair and makeup backstage to the after party, the high fashion never stopped. Take a look below at some of my favorite outfits from the show!
The Angels gathered at JFK airport to take off on a jet to London- but not without a photoshoot first! The seats in the plane each had gifts from Victoria’s Secret waiting for the Angels, such as blankets. The models even had pink boarding passes!
Once the Victoria’s Secret crew was in London, it was time for press and rehearsal. The models visited the luxurious store on Bond Street, while wearing matching outfits of jeans, black heels, and the official 2014 Fashion Show tee (which you can shop for here!).
Practice makes perfect! Rehearsal day gave us a glimpse into what the incredible outfits would look like the next day. Where can we get a pair of those heels?!
The famous pink robe is worn…Fashion Show time! Backstage each model got their hair, makeup, and nails done. There was even a “gravity room” for the models to snap some silly pictures!
The show was comprised of six different parts (Gilded Angels, University of Pink, Exotic Traveller, Fairy Tale, Dream Girl, and finally Angel Ball). Each section had its own theme, with a unique look for each model. Every year, the designers create new outfits and themes, with none being repeated from previous years. This year two Fantasy Bras were crafted. Mouawad made the Fantasy Bras specifically for Victoria’s Secret; each worth $2,000,000, which include stunning jewels (such as blue topaz, diamonds, and yellow quartz) set in 18 karat gold. Supermodels Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio wore the two bras, so keep an eye out for the breathtaking looks during the show!

Opening the show will be Behati Prinsloo, with the Gilded Angels section. A fun fact about the wings in this section is that the feathers for each set are covered in 18 karat gold foil. As you can see, this year’s show is definitely a glamorous one!

In addition to the supermodels, there are a handful of musicians who perform during the show. This year, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, and Hozier were chosen to provide the runway music. Swift is a veteran on the runway, performing for the second year in a row, you will hear her newest hit “Blank Space.” Ed Sheeran’s song “Thinking Out Loud” is the soundtrack to the Fantasy Bras’ debut. Serenading the audience with her powerhouse song “Bang Bang,”Ariana Grande will perform during University of Pink; and finally Hozier’s mystical “Take me to Church” will be the backdrop for Fairy Tale.

Following the Angels’ grand finale was the after party. A black and white themed bash, each model proved that their personal style was just as fabulous on the pink carpet, as what they wore on the runway.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is an annually anticipated, energetic, and greatly enjoyed event. For an opportunity to see this show come together as a whole tune in on Tuesday, December 9th when it airs on CBS!
