Halloween is right around the corner, and I know many of you are probably already thinking about what to be this year! It can be a very tough decision. I myself always wonder if I want to be something scary or take the humorous route. Luckily, Halloween tends to be a weekend event at college rather than one night, opening up the opportunity to dress up as several different things!

Although many girls decide to dress up as something that’s not necessarily scary, sometimes its fun to give people around you a little scare…

1. You could take the cliche vampire to a whole new level:

Sure, it takes a lot of effort on the makeup part, but it’ll be worth it when people do double-takes! The cool thing with putting focus on the makeup is that you can wear anything you want. You could put your little black dress to use with this one and many others!

2. Or you could be my least favorite thing in the entire world: a porcelain doll. There’s something really freaky about that blank doll stare.

3. Or another one of my least favorites: a clown.

And with this you can just thrift shop around or even use your own closet to put the outfit together! Convenient, right? A black makeup crayon and any red lipstick would be useful for this one. Even if you don’t wear the contact lenses, it will still have that chilling effect.

With most of these creepy outfit ideas, there is a huge emphasis on the makeup. Even though it seems like a time-consuming task, it can be made into a very simple one with white face makeup from any Halloween store (or if you dont want to get that, use a foundation that is a few shades lighter than your skin tone!), a makeup sponge, and some different colored eyeshadows you have laying around (the eyeshadow can also be used on top of the white face makeup to create dimension or blood), and maybe some fake blood.

Here are some really cute costumes I found that can be purchased at any nearby Halloween or party store:

Beyond this, there are endless options for what to dress up in, whether it be from the Halloween store or from your very own closet. Hopefully you found this helpful in making your decision!
