It’s Not Too Late for Restaurant Week!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Chicago chapter.

Prepare your stomachs, prepare your wallets, and prepare a group of friends or foodies: Restaurant Week is here!

From February 1 to February 10, this annual 10-day culinary celebration is a chance for diners to take advantage of Chicago’s dining scene at affordable prices. Over 250 restaurants in Chicago will be participating, offering special prix fixe menus starting at $22 for lunch and $33/$44 for dinner.

Selections range from Michelin-star restaurants and top-notch seafood eateries to Asian fusion and ethnic restaurants.

Diners will be able to try out different cuisines, such as Ethiopian and Vietnamese, and four-course meals that typically cost more than $100, while restaurants will get a boost in publicity and sales during the winter season. It’s a win-win situation for everyone.

Here are a few of my recommendations:

1.      Naha

2.      BellyQ

3.      Sepia

4.      Geja’s Café

5.      Demera

Make sure to book your spots on OpenTable.com soon. Reservations run out quickly!

She also acts as Editor-In-Chief of Diskord, an online op-ed publication based on campus, and as an Arts and Culture Co-Editor for the university's new Undergraduate Political Review. When she's not busy researching, writing, and editing articles, Annie can be found pounding out jazz choreography in a dance room, furiously cheering on the Vancouver Canucks, or around town on the lookout for new places, people, and things. This year, Annie is back in DC interning with Voice of America once again!
