Stages of Summer as Told by Hot Guys

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Arkansas chapter.

Like summer? Like boys? So do we.

You’ve been counting down the days until summer since the beginning of second semester, and it’s finally here. You’re done with school!

You walk out of your last class feeling great.

Regardless of if you killed it this semester or did a little worse than you had hoped—it’s finally over.

You’re ready for the best summer of your life.

The first couple of weeks are amazing and you’re reunited with all of your friends from back home.

Eventually all of your friends have to work or go on vacation, but that’s okay because you get to do this:

And this:

And of course, a whole lot of this.

After a while of that, you get the feeling you might want to be productive. Not because you really want to, but because you are starting to get really, really bored and it’s beginning to show.

So you get off of the couch and do some much-needed cleaning.

You start a new workout plan that you found on Pinterest.

You even try to keep a healthier diet.

All of that is great—for a while. Eventually your motivation dwindles and you find yourself bored all over again.

You start thinking the unthinkable. Going back to school doesn’t sound too bad. Not because of classes, but mostly because you miss having something to do, and you really miss your friends.

Now summer is coming to an end, and you realize you’ve had a lot of fun.

You get back to school and hang out with all your friends and hear about their summers, all while thinking about how lucky you are to have such awesome friends.

You’re pretty optimistic, but as soon as you get to your first class you hate yourself for wishing for summer to end.

You start counting down the days until next summer, because well, it’s totally going to be the best summer of your life.
