Why You Should Listen to Podcasts

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

Listen up! Want to make the most out of your next long car drive? Want something new to listen to while jogging? Don’t want to be bored out of your mind when you (finally) decide to do some spring cleaning?

Try listening to a podcast. I think podcasts are a pretty underrated form of entertainment/education/news, but they’ve been on the rise for a while now. And the great thing is that there’s a podcast for everyone— whether you’re a science geek, aspiring chef, exercise junkie, murder mystery lover, fashionista, or just want to laugh. I’ve noticed podcasts are super underutilized among girls our age, but I feel like they wouldn’t be if people realized how much they have to offer. Here are just a few awesome podcasts you should check out stat:

1) Serial

You’ll find yourself binge listening to this crime drama podcast while you accomplish mindless tasks, or before you go to sleep (instead of Netflixing).
