This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

Keeping a healthy diet is a difficult enough task for anyone, but especially for a busy college student. The daily stressors of balancing classes, studying, friends, and keeping a healthy social life make it all the more tempting to indulge in some fatty junk foods. However, most of us are not looking to pack on the pounds, another stressor to add to the laundry list! Here’s a quick list of 5 healthy, nourishing, and most importantly, delicious, on the go foods that permit guilt-free snacking whenever, wherever! All of these eats can be found at a Whole Foods near you.

1.      Zing Bars

With countless protein bars available these days, it’s hard to distinguish between which are actually filling and nutritious, and which are just packing on the empty calories. Created by nutritionists, Zing Bars are topnotch in the ranks of a healthy protein bar. These muscle-building bars are gluten-free, vegan, and are made with 100% all-natural ingredients. They’re perfect for the typical “on-the-go” college student, and they taste totally amazing!

2.      Dang Toasted Coconut Chips

These chips can curb your junk food or sweet-toothed craving with absolutely no associated guilt! Made purely out of raw coconut meat, these treats are rich in Lauric Acid, which aligns with a healthy heart, increased energy boosts, immunity from illnesses, as well as sugar regulation and digestion. It has also been found that women who consume about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil daily have lower amounts of body fat than those who do not.

3.     Rhythm Superfoods Kale Chips

It’s no novel news that Kale has recently become one of the hottest trends around in the health-nut crazed universe.  It’s loaded with nutrients and has been noted as one of the healthiest greens for our bodies to consume. These chips are baked, gluten-free, and contain 0% cholesterol. Coming in flavors such as BBQ, nacho, jalapeno, and sea salt, these Kale chips are not only healthy, but prove to be tasty as well.

4.     Happy Pho

Similar to the Kale craze, Vietnamese pho has recently become insanely popular. Pho is a noodle-based soup in which you can add your own variety of ingredients. Made from 100% brown rice, this pho is vegan, gluten-free, low sodium, and all natural. It also contains no MSG or preservatives. This is the most guilt-free pho on the market, and it is easy, convenient, and quick to make!

5.     McDougalls Apple Flax Oatmeal

As pretty much every college student knows, breakfast can be the most difficult meal of the day to fit in your schedule. This gluten-free, flax-based oatmeal is portable, thus making it speedy and totally convenient for everyone who is always running out of the door in the morning!
