Having a Crush as Told by Michael Cera

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

First, you spot them across the room.  Your heart skips a beat and you know you found THE ONE.

However, you come to realize that the person has not yet realized that you are soul mates, and life becomes very difficult.

Your friends get tired of you always talking about your crush and nag you to tell them how you feel.

You decide to take a risk and tell the person how you have a crush on them.

Your crush says they may have feelings for you so you ask them out on a date.

Your crush tells you they need time to think about it, and suddenly time stops as you await their answer.

Finally, they agree to a date, and it is one of the most awkward experiences of your life.

Your crush doesn’t text you back for a couple of days, and you become worried that they don’t want to go out again.

Your crush starts talking to someone new, and you become lost.

You give it one last shot to win their heart.

You finally have your first kiss…and it’s perfect.

You guys enter the honey moon phase, but the charm slowly wears off.

You eventually break up, and have to give each other your belongings back.

The world has ended and your heart is gone.

However, you quickly get a new crush, and the cycle starts again.
