A Guide to Dressing During Finals

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

Stress, cold sweats, anxiety, and fear… these are all common symptoms of the dark plague that we commonly refer to as FINALS WEEK. There are few remedies to resort to when dealing with this plague, but the one that I find the most soothing and expressive (which is especially important during a week of oppression) is via clothes. Many take finals week as an opportunity to dress “scrubby” and drape anything of sweat-pant material across their body. When studying is on the mind it’s easy to forget that dressing in a stylish manner need not compromise comfort. Studying for finals is a constant struggle, and dressing yourself is the last thing you should be worrying about. For all you fashionistas caught in a study-jam, allow me to make your life a touch easier with a few easy and COMFORTABLE outfits to rock during the last days of your fabulous semester:

1. The “Jogger Pant” Look: A spin on the traditional sweat pant, the “jogger pant” is the offspring of sweat pants and MC Hammer pants aka heaven in comfortable pant form.

2. The Faux Leather Legging Look: Leggings are a go-to option during finals week, and there’s nothing quite like faux leather to jazz up this fan favorite for finals.

3. The Overall Look: No thinking necessary, just pull this one piece on and hit the books.

4. The Turtleneck Sweater Look: The pull-over cardigan’s trendy, cozy cousin.

Good luck on finals… you’re going to kill it (in style of course).
