Rebecca Dowden
Rebecca Dowden is a sophomore in Alpha Delti Pi and an RA for Tulane HRL. Rebecca also interned this year for New Orleans Fashion Week. For New Orleans Fashion Week, FAB’s (a student organization Rebecca introduced to Tulane) executive board attended the week’s opening event and met with Tracee Dundas, the founder and creative director for fashion week here in New Orleans.
Rebecca is the president and founder of FAB chapter (Fashion and Business) at Tulane. Starting in Fall 2015, FAB will be a registered organization on campus. FAB connects students with interests in careers in fashion with people in the New Orleans community in the fashion industry. They have also had events for all students on campus, such as a trunk show featuring local boutiques and a raffle for Kendra Scott earrings. FAB is a national organization and Tulane’s chapter has high hopes of expanding their presence on campus.
Sadly, Rebecca will be leaving her empire and Tulane to study abroad for the Fall 2015 semester. Taking a break from the Big Easy, she will be going to Italy to spend some time studying wine tasting and European hotties.
