Mother’s Day is this week, and I’m sure we are all facing the struggle of not knowing what to get for our moms to prove how much we love them. Even though I’ll never be able to adequately express how special my mom is to me, here is my attempt at five things I have to thank my mom for every single day.
1. For never giving up on you, even when you give up on yourself because she has believed in you ever since you were a cute lil baby.
2. For loving you even when you are being your worst self. (And my school at its worst self, yes thank you for going to The Boot with me.)
3. For hanging out with you even when it means watching Tulane lose their homecoming game in the pouring rain.
4. For always texting you back, or at least not getting mad at you when you call her 23 times because she didn’t text back fast enough.
5. For always taking your side, even if you might be a little (or a lot) wrong. Thanks for being wrong with me, even though you’re always right.
Bonus: Thanks mom for always sharing my Her Campus articles, I really do appreciate it.
In other words, thanks mom for being my best friend and biggest inspiration. Happy Mother’s Day to all the awesome Tulane moms out there, keep doing you!
