3 Holiday Cookie Recipes to Make Finals Suck Less

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

The last day of finals is December 20th, AKA way too close to Christmas. If you, like me, are one of the lucky few to have an exam (or in my case a presentation) on the last day of finals, you will no doubt be jealous of all of your friends and siblings who are long done with their finals and happily at home enjoying the holiday spirit.

I’ve gathered 3 holiday cookie recipes to make in your dorm, house, or apartment that will ease the pain of being stuck at school studying when you should be home watching Elf and eating all the gingerbread cookies. To tide you over until your escape from this hell, I searched deep into the world wide web and found three ballin’ recipes that even the most inadequate chef can throw together to boost morale in these dark times.

If you can’t even fathom turning on your oven, these No-Bake Peppermint Bark Cookies brought to you by The Suburban Soapbox are the cookies for you. Even though I find anything to do with peppermint absolutely appalling, I’ve heard most people are all about it and these look pretty great.

If I could have a PJ’s cranberry orange muffin every single day, I would. However, I am too impatient to wait in lines and I am out of WaveBucks anyway. Here’s a recipe for Cranberry Orange Oatmeal Cookies from the one and only HGTV. If you think oranges and cranberries don’t make the perfect holiday cookie, you’re wrong. Read up on some history.

Finally, because I am VERY inclusive, here is a recipe with a gluten free option. These Chai-Spice Cookies are easy and delicious which are the two things all foods should be.

Merry Christmas Tulane from me and my baby tree! You can find me crying in this same spot until December 20th <3
