Tailored to Tufts: Perfectly Proper

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

In high school, I typically spent every Sunday night planning my outfits for the next week to avoid haphazardly throwing clothing together when I had to wake up at an ungodly hour. While my OCD-tendencies have decreased a bit since then, I still enjoy laying out outfits the night before. Then, there’s more time to put caffeinated-effort into how I’ll present myself the next day.

So, instead of just being a reason for my friends to make fun of me (you know who you are), each week I’ll share my favorite outfit from the week to maybe inspire you to appreciate some of the girly-er pleasures in life. Just don’t judge me too harshly if you see my in sweatpants sometime. It is college after all.

This week’s outfit: A sheer grey boyfriend shirt tucked into black jeggings. To accessorize this outfit I wore cubic zirconia earrings, a necklace reminiscent of the ball that drops on New Year’s eve and chunky silver bracelets. Each piece of jewelry complements the clothing without overwhelming its simplicity.

Perfect for: Heading to class and hopping on the T to an internship without having to change clothes in between.
