By Simmone Seymour
April 10, 2012 - 4:11pm

This Thursday the Tufts University chapter of China Care will hold their fifth annual Lux Fashion show. This year marks a major shift in the planning and implementation of the show as the students who inspired and created the show graduated in 2011.  One of the directors, Sarah Neville, explains that the students planning the event were initially concerned as, “everyone really involved were seniors [last year]."  Yet the show continues this year, luckily for students at Tufts, and it sounds more extravagant than ever before. How to Lose a Girl in 10 Days

By Simmone Seymour
March 28, 2012 - 4:00am

Relationships in college are complicated, to say the least. The most complicated part is probably being trying to determine if you are actually in a relationship at all. It seems that there are too many rules to the game from what to call each other, i.e. boyfriend or hook-up, to what method of communication is appropriate to use, i.e. Facebook or texting. In addition, it seems that there is a prevailing belief that being a gentleman has gone out of style. While times have changed and while courting and gentility may have disappeared long before scrunchy hair ties, there are still standards that young men can be held up to. Below is a list of grievances that are highly appropriate to complain about.

What Girls Should Never Text Guys

“Way to ‘not be awkward’”
Many of us have had this experience: You hook up with someone, and then you have “the talk” about how you don’t want things to be awkward because of the experience… yet… say, three days later you two pass each other in the library, or dining hall, and he doesn’t say hi to you! Out of pure rage you send out the “Way to ‘Not Be Awkward’” text, which he does not respond to. Do not send this text, just be the first one to say hi next time!

“Are you still with that girl?”

If I Had One Wish... Perfume

By Rebecca Rago
March 15, 2012 - 4:55pm

It’s said that every perfume smells differently on each person. The scents change on us just as we’re drawn to a certain scent. This week’s If I Had One Wish topic is perfume. Some of our staff decided to share their ‘signature’ scents.

Alexandria: “My favorite is Versace's Bright Crystal. I love it because it's floral and warm; it reminds me of a  perfect embrace. I like to have a different fragrance for varying moments in life, so I changed it up to this one once I got to college.”

Rebecca:  “I love Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. I’ve always liked deep, spicy scents and this one is perfect for me. It has a mystery and depth to it. At the same time, it’s wearable enough for the day and isn’t overpowering.”  ...
