10 Alternative Brunch Places in and Around Boston

Want to get out and explore Boston more? Tired of waiting in the long lines outside of Ball Square Cafe and Sound Bites every Saturday and Sunday? Try one of these breakfast and brunch spots located in and around Boston! 

 

1. Zinnekin’s

Located right across the Old Cambridge Baptist Church in Harvard Square, this Belgian waffle shop, run by actual Belgians, will be sure to light up your taste buds in the morning! 

 

2. The MET Back Bay

As soon as you get off the T in Copley Square, this snazzy little brunch and burger restaurant will be sure to satisfy your cravings. Try the Nutella Stuffed French Toast or the Croquet Madame.

 

3. Stephanie’s

What better way to spend your day than shopping on Newbury Street and getting a delicious brunch? Be sure to stop at Stephanie’s and try the crab cake benedict!

 

4. Blunch

This cute little breakfast sandwich shop is located right by Northeastern University! 

      

5. The Friendly Toast

 

 

This breakfast place located in both Cambridge and Back Bay is an upbeat place with a very friendly environment. It is known for its eclectic dining experience. You must give their pancakes, waffles, and French toast a try! 

 

6. South End Buttery

This adorable restaurant in the south end has a top-of-the-line brunch! Try the smoked salmon and eggs! 

 

7. Thornton’s Restaurant & Cafe

Looking for a good breakfast place that is not expensive at all, gives great portions, and is absolutely delicious?! Be sure to stop by Thornton’s Restaurant & Cafe right by Fenway! The “Mornin’ Delight” is the way to go.

 

8. The Painted Burro

Want a to try a twist on an original brunch style menu? Hit up the Painted Burro in Davis Square to spice your brunch up with a Mexican Twist!

 

9. Park Restaurant & Bar

This cozy restaurant right by Harvard Square has a delicious brunch menu! 

 

10. The Foundry

Want a buffet style brunch with all you can eat? For only $20, you can get a delicious brunch! There are also brunch items, such as a bacon and egg pizza, if you don’t want the buffet. 

 

Davis Square is also full of cafés that are great for studying and dining when you feel like getting off campus!
