Through the course of this week, the sisters of Kappa Kappa Gamma will be supporting two events: Kappa Kandy and B kind

Kappa Kandy is an event where students can buy bags of candy to be sent to their friends at Trinity College. These bags of candy can be purchased at the price of $1 to be sent with your name on it or $2 for an anonymous delivery. You can purchase these adorable bags of candy outside of Mather or in Goldberg’s during lunch or dinner hours. This fundraiser supports the organization Reading is Fundamental. Reading is Fundamental provides impoverished children in the US with new free books and literacy resources, allowing them to further expand their knowledge and academic potential. Out of the 16 million children living in poverty, only one in three kids actually have books in his or her home. “Since 1966, RIF has distributed more than 412 million books to more than 40 million children nationwide, improving their opportunity to read, learn and grow.”

To help inspire these children, please purchase some candy or submit a monetary donation through this website: https://www.gofundme.com/kappakandygrams

Aside from Kappa Kandy, the KKG sisters are motivating students at Trinity to B kind this week! B kind is an organization that promotes acts of kindness during our busy, everyday lives. B kind’s mission is simple- they inspire people to change the lives of others just by putting an effort in to being kind. B kind says, “We believe that even the smallest acts of kindness are worth recognizing, worth celebrating, and worth building a community around. Because being kind can change someone’s life. It can also change the world”. As National Kindness Day is Friday, November 13th, Kappa Kappa Gamma encourages everyone to spread kindness through out campus- every kind action counts!
